Access to space has significantly increased in recent years, which has resulted in many Earth imaging sensors producing valuable data for use in many domains, such as energy, environment, and agriculture. The proliferation of sensors has also highlighted the differences between and within datasets. Since these datasets are typically calibrated and validated by different means and to varying standards, the resulting intelligence gap has become a persistent problem for end users and the decision-makers they advise. 

To that end, Vicarious Calibration Technologies (Vical) offers calibration/validation (calval) solutions for Earth imaging sensors as a service through a centralized calval site. Our methods are well established as the gold standard for producing low uncertainty data. By partnering with many satellite operators, we can further increase the value of the data as being calibrated and validated by a standardized method on a common reference, therefore introducing harmony across datasets that differ by resolution, revisit rates, and/or spectral bands.
